# Nepal set new world record lap time of 7.062 sec at the First ever Deep Racer League Nepal in 2022

The [**AWS Deep Racer League**](https://aws.amazon.com/deepracer/league/) is the world’s first autonomous racing League for all skill levels. It was first time organized by [**AWS User Group Nepal**](https://www.acdnepal.com/) on December 10, 2022 at Bougainvilla Events,Tripureshwor-11, Kathmandu in Nepal.

Introducing myself, **Hem Bahadur Gurung** set a new world of **7.062 sec** on physical deep Racer track(reinvent 2018 track) . It was a thrilling experience for both participants and visitors. There were altogether 30 + solo participants. Out of them, Top 15 were selected for final physical Deep racer on track. I felt humble to be the winner of First Deep Racer Nepal and world record holder of AWS Deep Racer League.

It was beyond my expectation. Although I had given my best, I wasn't expecting such a result on scoreboard. Finally, I realized that my past internship projects had helped me how AI works in real life.
